Top 10 Vegan Personalities of the World

Let’s face it – Veganism is sexy! And when you consider all the famous people and beautiful people and other celebrities who have chosen to go vegan, then veganism just got sexier than ever before!

It is difficult to compile a list of the top 10 vegan personalities in world since there are so many, and more get added to the list all the time! So we tried to cull out an interesting list of people (in no particular order) who have chosen to go vegan for the sake of body and soul, to say nothing of the earth and all the other creatures that inhabit it.

1. Brad Pitt

brad-pittThis man would have to take the award for the sexiest vegan alive (if you are female) and the best possible advert for veganism!

2. Angelina Jolie

I would definitely include Alicia Silverstone on this list, considering all she has done for promoting veganism through her book and her website The Kind Life.

I agree about Silverstone. Also, I don’t know where Vegan Souls got the idea that Angelina Jolie is a vegan because she’s not even vegetarian. And Chelsea just gave up being a vegetarian… What about the totally awesome Darryl Hannah & Woody Harrelson??

This list is crap. Prince eats eggs. The first two were seen eating pepperoni pizza at the Oscars. Let’s try to not sling bullshit please?

Martina hasn’t won a singles GS in 24 years and she’s just vegetarian.

And on another note, three of your top five are only there because they’re hot, which shouldn’t be the factor, as well as counting out gays as a plausible admirer of Pitts looks.

You don’t need to be female to consider Brad Pitt the sexiest vegan alive. And neither are all women attracted to men 🙂

Not only has Joaquin Pheonix been a vegan since age three, but he’s also responsible for converting Degeneres and many others to veganism with his powerful narration of the documentary film Earthlings. If someone were to be on this list, it should be him.

And yes, Woody Harrelson. He was one of the original reasons many celebs became vegan. He’s been vegan for over 30 years.

Moby, also a vegan of over 30 years wrote about his decision to become vegan in Rolling Stone, explaining, “My reason for becoming a vegetarian was simple: I loved (and love) animals and I don’t want to be involved in anything that leads to or contributes to their suffering … Then I thought, ‘I don’t want to contribute to animal suffering. But the cows and chickens in commercial dairy and egg farms are pretty miserable, so why am I still eating milk and eggs?’ So in 1987 I gave up all animal products and became a vegan. Simply so that I could eat and live in accordance with my beliefs that animals have their own lives, that they’re entitled to their own lives and that contributing to animal suffering is something that I don’t want to be a part of.”

Bryan Adams has been vegan for past 28 years. He completely stopped eating animals in 1989 and still persists in vegan lifestyle.

Casey Affleck has been vegan for over 15 years, and he’s pretty outspoken in his activism about his reasons.

And must not forget the champion bodybuilder, and security to the stars, Jim Morris. At age 50, he became a vegetarian and over 15 years transitioned to a vegan diet to which he credited much of his excellent health.
He became fully vegan at 65 years of age (was winning titles in his 70s) and was a vegan for over 15 years (until his death at the age of 81).
